Essential Reiki, a complete guide to an ancient healing art, by Diane Stein, is a gem filled with useful healing information. Proving that Reiki is definitely a miracle making system. I think it is great that Diane Stein was one of the first to make this wonderful energy available to all of us.
This book is written well and the illustrations are terrific aids to the information. This book is great for someone just beginning to learn the healing art of Reiki or for someone wishing to enhance their studies.

My Reiki teacher recomended this book to read so as to have something to refer to when needed. I find it very helpful in helping to remind you of how the reiki/chi/Qi engery work. Very good refer’s book.

Although those who have dedicated themselves to the Healing power of Reiki may have various positions on this ancient healing technique, this book is well written and will inspire and engage all those interested in Reiki. I learned a great deal of her book and reflected on my own ideas.

Diane Stein’s Essential Reiki is everything I have wanted in a beginner’s reiki text – and more!
I read it back in 2000 after Reiki I & II, and again recently with Reiki III;
Diane Stein amplified areas I felt were overlooked in all three levels of my Reiki training.
I particularly enjoyed her feminist and spiritual perspectives, as well as her belief that
reiki energy needs to be readily available to all who seek it.
This text is written and organized in such a way that it is accessible to the person wondering about
the possibility of dipping a toe into the waters of reiki to one who is ready to take the full body plunge!

I give my Reiki II students this book, because Diane Stein is the best RMT to have compiled the appropriate handouts and this book is filled with information. When someone takes Reiki II, they choose to continue on their Reiki path and Essential Reiki is the perfect book to serve as their guide.

An interesting investigation

This is an interesting look at Reiki.For the die-hards there may be a little too much information for your sensitivities. This book reveals the sacred symbols,(sacred does not mean secret) tells how to use them and allows anyone insight into this ancient healing art. For those of you with an attunement this is not a threat unless you are only interested in making money from it and so do not want too much competition. Diane has covered most aspects of Reiki healing, but it is important to remember that attunement and lineage are the most important factors in being introduced to Reiki.
