I appreciate your dedication to Reiki. What I've noticed is that every Reiki teacher attracts the right and perfect students for their own particular teaching style.

There are students who like very structured classes and whose systems required the waiting period between attunements.

There are other students (usually people who have been doing their own meditation, yoga or other self-development practice for a while) who are ready for a gigantic quantum leap and can handle more attunements in a shorter period of time.

I once attuned a couple to Reiki 1. The husband was pressuring me to train them both in Reiki 2 the next week. However, I saw that he had so much to clear that he would've had an extremely difficult healing crisis (he had a history of substance abuse).

The wife, however, had been reading and exploring many great spiritual masters, especially Yogananda, and she was ready the next week.

They both garnered tremendous growth from having to negotiate their different process in receiving the attunement, particularly as he preferred to be the "leader" in their personal growth experiences.

I attuned him to Reiki 2 two months later. Then she took Reiki Master training and attuned him to Master level a few months afterward.

Their relationship has very much improved AND they were able to use Reiki to manage many physical issues, including his recovery from a serious surgery.
